Brief History of Work:
• The project consisted of miscellaneous repairs and painting of three historic buildings at the Lowell National Historic Park, the Massachusetts Waste Gate House, the Blacksmith shop and the Morgan Cultural Center.
• The work for Blacksmith Shop and Gate house was to repair or replace broken or rotted clapboards, repairs to and replacement of broken glass, scraping, prep and painting. Part of the painting on the Gate House was done off a barge in an active canal where water levels varied depending on flow releases from the locks. Safety was always at the top of priorities. All painting on theses building was applied by brush coats.


Project Highlights:

• The Morgan Cultural Center is a three- story brick building in the heart of the Park.
• The scope was to remove hardware, scrape, prep and paint 178 pair of shutters.
